About Me

 Hello,

My name is Brittney Bartlebaugh and I am a sixth grade teacher at Toni Morrison Elementary School. I have an associates degree in Early Childhood Education that I recieved from Lorain County Community College and am currently in school at Grand Canyon University to obtain my Bachelors degree in Ealry Elementary Education. Along with 11 years of teaching experience, I am a life long learner and stay up on current research on the best practices to engage all learners in our sixth grade class.

A few of the most important factors in guiding student behavior as a teacher is providing a safe, comfortable classroom environment, and taking full advantage of opportunities for students. It is important for all students to feel welcomed and comfortable by acknowledging the students interests, strengths, and cultural backgrounds. It is important for me to communicate with each student to make them feel accepted into my classroom. I will have a zero tolerance policy for bullying and disruptive behavior. The students will know what is expected of them because I will explain, model, and practice these procedures every day.  By creating a comfortable and safe learning environment students will receive a higher quality education.
